Founder & Artistic Director
Alexandra Loupatatzi
Ms. Alex is the founder and owner of Aether Academy; dance studio and performing arts company. She has been teaching in the field of the arts for just over 20 years, after being a professional dancer, aerialist, performing artist and choreographer globally.
Ms. Alex dwells from the beautiful Mediterranean countries of Greece and Malta, and has performed on cruise ships, casinos, musical theatre production shows, dance companies. She has performed in "Pippin", The Sound of Music", "Sweet Charity", "Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat", "Jesus Christ Superstar", to mention a few, as well as ballet solos and pas de deux in opera ballets such as "La Sylphide", "The Nutcracker", "Coppelia" and more.
She has a Higher National Diploma in Professional Dance (Classical Ballet, Modern Jazz & Tap Dancing), Performing Arts and Musical Theatre from the prestigious Leicester College of Performing Arts (LCPA), British Theatre Dance Association (BTDA), and Trinity College of London, in the UK. She has taught over 10 dance and performing arts studios over the years from around the world and has choreographed and directed numerous production shows, prepared students for exams and competitions. She has also had over 15 years experience in being part of a choir ensemble, as well as earning a Diploma in Piano and Music Theory from the Trinity College of London.
Ms. Alex is also an Advanced Registered Yoga Practitioner (ERYT500), Personal Trainer (ASFA), Barre Instructor (IBBA), Pilates Mat Instructor (The Pilates Studio), Pre & Postnatal Exercise Specialist (CES), Acrobatic Arts Teacher (Acrobatic Arts) and Aerial Instructor (Spin City).
She pays great attention to technique, has a passion for creative expression while prioritizing appropriate conditioning, flexibility and strength building. Her mission is to help dancers and performers of all ages become masterful artists and excel in their most creative and expressive ways!
